SIM, eSIM and Wi-Fi

eSIM: cheapest and easiest if your phone supports it. Install it before you fly and turn it on when you land.

Pocket Wi-Fi: good for a barkada or family sharing one connection. Pick it up at the airport counter.

Roaming: check your Philippine network's Japan roaming promos, but they're usually pricier than an eSIM.

Most stations, convenience stores and malls have free Wi-Fi, but it often needs a quick sign-up. Don't rely on it for directions.
