Where to apply
Since April 7, 2025, tourist visa applications go through the Japan Visa Application Centre (JVAC), run by VFS Global, with an online appointment. There are centers in Makati, Parañaque, Quezon City, Cebu and Davao.
The visa is free for Filipinos. You pay only the ₱520 JVAC service fee.
Processing takes at least 6 business days in Manila and at least 10 in Cebu and Davao.
Package tour? Designated agencies can file an eVISA for you (single entry, up to 15 days).
